Ky-Mani Marley one of the best-known and wealthiest Reggae artists was born on Friday, February 26, 1976, in Falmouth Jamaica. Shottas was a classic movie where he was in the film along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed to Shang Records and recorded his 1996 debut album With Father Like Son. This was followed by a number of singles, including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap was a perfect fit (remix) as well as Sensimelia. They all have contributed to the growing reputation of Ky-Mani as a new reggae musician. Ky-Mani teamed up with Praswell from Fugees for Avenue in 1997. The song was an incredibly hit cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was a guest at Midem (international musical showcase) when it was held in Miami for the first time. At the Cameo Theatre Marley performed a set which was aired live on the Caribbean News Agency to 36 countries. Marley was at the center of auction warfare.
